Description

The National Elections Commission and the National Identification Registry have formalized their partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at exploring digital ID integration with the voter registration system.

This partnership seeks to leverage existing national identification infrastructure to enhance the accuracy and integrity of the voter roll, reduce duplicate registrations, and explore the potential use of national ID cards as supplementary voter identification documents.

A joint technical working group has been established to develop implementation protocols and data protection safeguards in compliance with Liberian law.
