Approximately 25 staff members, predominantly Elections Magistrates of the National Elections Commission of Liberia (NEC-Liberia), have been certified following the successful completion of a three-day BRIDGE workshop held in Ganta, Nimba County, from 25 to 27 March 2026.
The workshop focused on Inclusive Electoral Management, with particular emphasis on Gender Equality and Disability Inclusion.
It was organized by NEC Liberia in collaboration with UN Women, and supported by the Liberia Electoral Support Project (LESP).
The initiative aimed to strengthen the capacity of NEC staff to design and implement electoral processes that are inclusive, equitable, and responsive to the needs of all citizens, especially women and persons with disabilities.
The certification marked the successful completion of the training phase for participants who actively engaged in the sessions and demonstrated improved understanding of inclusive electoral practices.
Meanwhile, Phase Two of the workshop was scheduled to commence on Monday, 30 March 2026, also in Ganta, Nimba County, continuing the Commission’s broader effort to deepen institutional capacity in inclusive electoral management.
